Bhubaneswar: May 13: All India Kalinga Cup Footbal Tournament will be held from 15th May to 25th May this year at Cuttack Barabati Stadium and Odisha Police Ground. Nine teams from Odisha and eight teams from outside Odisha will participate in this national level football tournament. Football lovers of the state will witness the game of some national level teams like Mohammedan Sporting, Indian Railway, BSF, Oil India, ONGC, Kalighat, Army Eleven and Hyderabad Eleven.
Today at State Secretariat, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Sports & Youth Services Sudam Marandi. Officials from both Odisha Football Association and Department of Sports and Youth Services participated in this review meeting and look into the preparations made till date in detail.
Former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik has started this tournament to give proper exposure to the football talents of Odisha and create many national players from the state.
