Sambalpur: Devotees will soon get Anna Bhoga at Samaleswari temple in Odisha’s Sambalpur district from December this year. The Anna Bhoga service was cancelled for around two years since 2020 due to Covid pandemic. Later, the service could not be resumed due to construction work for redevelopment of the shrine under SAMALEI scheme of Odisha government.
The temple authorities had failed to resume the service after around 10 months since the temple was inaugurated after redevelopment due to the absence of a Bhoga Gruha. The Samaleswari Temple Trust Board has announced that the Anna Bhoga service will be resumed owing to demand from devotees and decided to construct the Bhoga Gruha on the shrine premises on its own.
President of Temple Trust Board, Sanjay Babu said, “We had approached the state government as well as OBCC, which is executing the project to start and expedite the work on the Bhoga Mandap. But, did not get any favourable response. We have decided to develop it with the trust’s funds. A shed near the pilgrim facility will be constructed and completed within 20 days.
