Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: On the basis of running sex racket in the city, a charge sheet against Sunil Meher, kingpin of sex racket and Somesh Panda who was working as a middle man, was filed by the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday.
In the 85-page charge sheet, the names of 20 witnesses’, including the Kyrgyzstan young woman were also mentioned.
Police will strengthen the case against the accused, Bhubaneswar DSP, Satyabrata Bhoi informed.
As per police sources, the Kyrgyz woman, who had a tourist visa to India, was brought by Sunil Meher on a package of Rs 15 lakh for a month, through middlemen in Delhi and Kolkata. Besides, Meher had brought many ladies from foreign countries for his skin business before, sources further added.
In an uncompromising position, the Kyrgyz woman was caught red handed at a flat in Patia area on March 2015. Before Odisha, she had also been to Goa and Bengaluru.
Two charge sheets had already been registered against Meher by the Commissionerate Police earlier.
