Bali Yatra in Cuttack not to held in 2021 too..
Cuttack District Administration has announced not to organise ‘Bali Yatra’ festival this year also. This has been decided in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Last year also, the historic maritime festival ‘Bali Yatra’ could not be held due to Covid Situation in the State.
Every year, Bali Yatra is celebrated in Cuttack City in the Hindu month of Kartik (October – November). The Festival reminds each of Odias regarding the glory of Odisha. With this, People of the State recalled the day when sailors of Odisha move to distant lands of Java, Bali, Borneo, Sri Lanka, and Sumatra.
This popular festival of Odisha marks its beginning from the day of full moon and continues for the next seven days at Gadagadia Ghat of the River Mahanadi.
