Sonepur, Jan 31: Today a 12-hour bandh has been called by the Binika Citizen Forum at Binika here protesting against the alleged police inaction in the brutal murder of Belar Khadayat and thus demanding a Crime Branch probe into the same. As a result, all shops, offices, schools, colleges and industries are closed down. Also sufficient police security has been deployed at the town to avoid any untoward situation.
Adding to this, the family members of the deceased staged dharna ahead of the Tehsil office. They alleged that the cops have given Belar’s murder a very casual approach. Only two have been arrested so far while other are still moving freely. On Jan 21, Belar’s corpse was found at Singhijuba at Gaudapada of Binika.
