Bhubaneswar, Apr 15: Today the District Administration will be submitting its preliminary assessment report as per directions of the Odisha Government. The report has been made after assessing the damages caused to both public and private property due to the violence in Bhadrak.
Earlier on Wednesday, the CM had instructed the Bhadrak administration to submit a report within three days so that compensation could be provided to those affected due to the unrest.
The local administration has also been given directions to initiate strict legal action against the persons involved in the violence. In the mean time, night curfew was relaxed for 12 hours from morning 6 am to 6 pm. Adding to this, people have also been permitted to buy essential commodities and also complete their required work.
34 platoons of police, two companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and two companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) have still been deployed to maintain law and order in Bhadrak.
Yesterday, the new Bhadrak SP Anup Kumar Sahoo has also assumed office.
