Bhubaneswar, Dec 23: Taking a major step towards providing care and protection for orphans and HIV affected children, the state government on Thursday launched the Biju Sishu Suraksha Yojana. As per the programme, all the expenses of these children’s education will be bored by the Government and they would also facilitate scholarship for their higher education. Besides this, Sukanya account will be opened for the girl beneficiaries and during their marriage time assistance would be provided by the government.
During the event, Patnaik informed about an action plan named ‘Odisha multi-sectoral action plan’ an initiative jointly taken up by the State government and Azim Premji to provide nutritional needs to the mother and children. This action plan will be continued till 2020.
