Bird flu scare in Odisha capital; 10 crows’ carcasses found in Salia Sahi area

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: Tension gripped the Salia Sahi area here after locals found around 10 dead crows at the Nilachakranagar vegetable market area on Monday.  People suspect bird flu to be the cause behind the death. As per sources, when people informed about the crows’ dead bodies, no government officials arrived the place to recover the bodies.

On the other side, earlier, the Animal Resources Development Department Secretary, Bishnupada Sethi informed that no chickens have been affected with the bird flu in Rourkela and it only a bird of IG park and a crow at Panposh have died due to the disease.
