BJD to win all 21 seats in Lok Sabha Polls: Naveen

Nayagarh: March 24: BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik expressed his confidence regarding Biju Janata Dal’s performance in the upcoming elections. Addressing public at the workers’ rally at Nayagarh, he said, ‘Biju Janata Dal will win all 21 Lok Sabha seats and take a key role in the formation of government at the centre as a single Party will not get majority to form the government’.

Naveen spoke regarding his determination to give importance to women in distribution of tickets for the upcoming polls. He said ‘BJD is the only Party who has given 33% reservation to women in distributing tickets for the Lok Sabha Polls and also it has nominated Pramila Bisoi from Mission Shakti as candidate for Aska Lok Sabha seat.’

Attacking BJP at the Public Meeting, BJD supremo briefed regarding centre’s negligence and step-motherly attitude towards Odisha over several issues. He said, center ignored state’s interest in Mahanadi water sharing dispute and Polavaram irrigation project.

Odisha CM also spoke on centre’s negligence in Banking and telecommunication sectors.

Comparing with other parties, he said, in case of other parties, the party heads control everything when it comes to power and in case of BJD, the remote control of the party remains with the hands of 4.5 crore people.

Targetting BJP-led government, he said, ‘BJP has promised for special state category to Odisha during 2014 elections. But, later it forgot it’.

Pattnaik also spoke on the KALIA scheme which will give benefit to lakhs of farmers of the state.

Rajya Sabha MP and BJD leader Soumya Ranjan Patnaik addressed the gathering and said, ‘Naveen Babu speaks less and works more’. He asked the Party workers’ to be focussed and work hard to achieve the target.
