Black Marketing of LPG case: Interim Protection granted to Dharmendra Pradhan’s brother by Orissa HC

Cuttack, Jan 24: In connection to the Vigilance case black marketing, the Orissa High Court has extended the interim protection from arrest to Soumendra Pradhan, brother of Union Petroleum minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. The next hearing of the case will be conducted after two weeks. This was said by Soumendra’s counsel, Dharanidhar Nayak. In fear of getting arrested, Soumendra Pradhan had filed an anticipatory bail petition after a case was registered against him and three other cooking gas dealers by the vigilance on charges of black marketing of LPG. The cases were filed under sections 120(B), 420 of IPC and sections 7 & 8 of Indian Explosives Act. Dharmendra Pradhan also supported the law.
