Hirakhand Express Mishap: Death toll to 41

Rayagada/Vishakhapatnam, Jan 24: With one more body being located, the death toll has risen upto 41 in the Hirakhand Express mishap. The Rayagada sub-collector informed this to the media today. On the other hand, Railway  Safety Commissioner, Ram Kripal, on the second day of his investigation into  the Hirakhand Express mishap, went to the office of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in Vishakhapatnam to collect detailed information relating to the tragic incident. It’s stated that investigation is going on in the presence of SS Mishra, Railway Chief Safety Officer and Chandralekha Mukherjee, DRM, East Coast Railway (ECoR). The Railway Safety Commissioner had called on 7 officers and 25 staff of Parbatipuram railway station and Kureru-Rayagada section and recorded their statements.
