Bhubaneswar, March 31: Noted industrialist and business magnate Abhey Kumar Oswal passed away at the age of 67 due to a massive heart attack on Tuesday in Moscow.
Son of late Lala Vidya Sagar Oswal, Abhey Oswal served as the Chairman to Oswal Agro Mills Ltd and Oswal Green Tech Ltd.
Oswal set up Oswal Fertilisers in Paradip, Odisha, which was later acquired by IFFCO.
The Oswal group had been known to be dedicated for developing life-saving medicines, particularly for cancer and diabetes.
Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Hospital in Ludhiana by Oswal group was the first cancer hospital in northern India.
He made significant acquisitions, “ICI’s plant near Kolkata, Union Carbide’s in Mumbai, Jagatjit Industries’ sugar mill in Punjab” and got into run-ins with the establishment.
