Central Team Begin to Visit Cyclone Affected Districts

Central Team has started visiting different places of state to assess the damage happened due to cyclone Jawad.

The team led by Saurav Ray, Joint Secretary (CEPI), Ministry of Home Affairs, shall conduct an intensive survey Cuttack, Jajpur, Ganjam, Puri, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur district and prepare a report.

The Central team has been divided into three teams. While one team will visit Ganjam and Puri districts, the second team will assess losses in Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack districts. Another team will visit the Jajpur and Kendrapara district.

According to SRC P K Jena, ‘Government has already apprised the team that the maximum damage has been caused to the farmers in terms of crop loss’.
