Bhubaneswar: Sept 20: MLA Sanatan Mahakud reported to Mahila Police Station, Bhubaneswar on Monday in connection with the allegation made by Kabita Mahakud, who is claiming as his daughter-in-law. Kabita had alleged that she had married with MLA’s Son Pankaj in 2012 and they were staying in Motu in Malkangiri district. Further, she alleged, Sanatan took Pankaj away from her in August’2015 as he was not in favour of the marriage.
Earlier, Kabita had filed a case of physical and mental harassment against MLA. A case under Sections 498A, 341, 294 and 34 of the IPC was registered at Mahila Police Station, Bhubaneswar. As asked by Police, Sanatan appeared before Mahila Police Station yesterday night and Police questioned him for 15/20 minutes. Police sources said, he will be further called for interrogation.
