CM announces to hike Rs 2.5 lakh gratuity of all staff of government-aided schools

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a hike in the gratuity of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the government-aided schools and colleges. The gratuity amount will be hiked from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh said Chief Minister.

According to the decision, Odisha Government has raised the superannuation (retirement) gratuity and the gratuity payable on the event of death from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh. This decision comes after the repeated requests and appeals of several teachers’ associations for a prolonged time.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has given a nod to 48 new posts of higher cadres in the Odisha Vigilance. As many as eight SPs, 24 DSPs and 16 police sub-inspectors will be appointed in the Odisha Vigilance.
