Congress launches ninth phase of ‘Jana Jagaran Yatra’ in Kondhmal district

Bhubaneswar, April 18: Congress Sunday launched the ninth phase of its mass contact programme ‘Jana Jagaran Yatra’ from Daringbadi in Kandhamal district.

PCC chief Prasad Harichandan initiated the Yatra in the presence of various Congress leaders and workers.

The Yatra, beginning from Daringibadi will culminate at Greenbadi.

The campaign aims to highlight the failure of the State and the Central Governments in ensuring basic needs, drinking water supply in a phased manner from last year.

During the march the activists will highlight issues on alleged corruption, chit fund scam, farmers’ plight in State and deteriorating law and order situation in the district, said sources.
