Bhubaneswar, April 18: Public Relations Officer of State Governor Sarada Prasad Mishra passed away at a private hospital here today. He was 55

Mishra was suffering from Cancer but died of breathing difficulties, family soruces said.

Mishra was taken to KIIMS hospital after he complained of chest pain last night. He breathed his last this morning at the hospital.

An eminent writer, he was brilliant student and was attracted towards literature from an early age. He kept writing for over three decades. He was known for his writing style and content of the stories in Odia language.

His stories, including “Ratira Ajab Drushya”, “Ahuri Uparaku Hata” and “Apahancha Ilakara Adhiswar” and the novels such as – “Uttan Pada”, “Jibashma” and “Julie” – have been highly acclaimed by the readers.

He also penned many poems, features and essays during his life time. He played a significant role in editing the autobiography of former Governor MM Rajendran and present Governor SC Jamir.

He was recipient of Shree Mishra Bhatru Smruti award, Shivram Patra Smruti, Time Pass Booker
