Bhubaneswar: April 28: In total, India has 29,974 COVID-19 positive cases till date. As informed by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, 7026 persons have cured and discharged from hospital. At present, 22,010 active cases are there in the Country.
The death toll in the country jumps to 937.
In last 24 hours, 1594 new coronavirus cases and 51 deaths have been reported in India.
Total number of cases in Maharashtra rose to 8590, followed by Gujarat (3548 ), Delhi (3108), Madhya Pradesh(2368), Rajasthan(2185), Uttar Pradesh (2043) and Tamilnadu with 1937 cases.
Andra Pradesh has 1259 confirmed covid-19 cases, followed by Telengana with 1002 cases, Karnataka with 520 cases and Kerala with 482 cases.
369 people have died in Maharashtra till date, followed by Gujarat (162), Madhya Pradesh (113), Delhi (54), Rajasthan (41), Uttar Pradesh (31), Tamilnadu (24), Andhra Pradesh (31), Telengana (26), Karnataka (20) and Kerala (4).
