COVID-19 in Odisha; Number of Positive Cases remain same

Bhubaneswar: March 31: COVID-19 test facility has been started in SCB Medical College & Hospital. With this now there are 3 test Centres in Odisha viz. RMRC, AIIMS and SCB. Governement is taking expeditious steps to start test units at other two Medical Colleges. While briefing to the Press today, Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of Government of Odisha on COVID-19, further informed, ‘Workers from other States stranded in Odisha have been provided with shelter and food. Till now, about 19838 workers have been taken care of in 276 nos. of temporary camps. A 24-hr helpline no.18003456703 is functioning to facilitate these People’.

377 quarantine centres have been identified with 32538 no. of beds in 114 ULBs in the State, Mr.Bagchi informed.

Replying to the question of Media Bagchi said, ‘Government of Odisha is tracking people returning from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Odisha. So far 3 persons already have been identified and kept under quarantine. Tracking is in on to find other persons.

Speaking on current status of COVID-19 in Odisha, he said, ‘Upto 12 noon today, 473 samples have been tested. Number of positive cases is still 3. 55 contacts of first two cases were being tracked. 112 contacts of third case have been identified are in communication. 57 persons are under hospital isolation today in different hospitals’.
