Cricketers will have to submit the age related documents from the current year

Bhubaneswar, Aug 23: Following the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) inquiry in the age manipulation allegation against 34 budding cricketers under the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA), Ashirbad Behera, OCA secretary on Tuesday said that they are fully supporting the CBI in the probe.

The CBI’s Sports Integrity Unit is questioning the Under-16 and Under-19 players within the Barabati Stadium premises in Cuttack.

The OCA and the Cuttack District Athletic Association is also under the inquiry list of the CBI for this matter.

Behera said that the cricketers will have to submit the age related affidavits from the current year and as per the decision of the BCCI, all the cricketers have been asked to submit the document.

Notably, the CBI started its inquiry after receiving complaint against the players alleged of manipulating their age related documents.
