Cuttack: January 02: After a Police complaint was lodged by the account holders of State Bank of India Branch; Twin City Police confirmed that Black Money was deposited in the Jan Dhan Accounts of some SHG (Self Help Group) members. Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora said, ‘After preliminary investigation it appears that some employees of a finance company have done this sort of transaction’. DCP Sri Arora said, Police is in the process to arrest the culprits.
It is to be noted; some women of Tulasi self-help group (SHG) of Padmapur lodged an FIR with Jagatpur police regarding the illegal transaction made though their Jan Dhan accounts without their knowledge. They have their Bank Accounts with Gopinathpur branch of State Bank of India under Salipur Block.
