Police detained two persons for raping married women

Chandbali, Aug 25: Today the cops caught hold of two persons named Manas Das belonging to Pahadpur village and Dipu Das of Gandhi Nagar area in Chandbali block on charges of allegedly raping a married woman belonging to Pahadpur village under Chandipur police limits in Bhadrak district during late Wednesday night.

It’s stated that the mishap is said to have taken place at around 8pm yesterday. The miscreants came on a bike, entered her house and intimidated her spouse that the contractor for whom he worked had summoned him on some work. They took him along. Later, the two of them came and knocked on the door. On opening, the duo blocked her and in turns raped the lady, following which they managed to escape through the backdoor as the husband returned.

This all information was given by IIC of Chandbali police station Sriballav Sahu. On being intervened about the matter today morning, villagers caught the two persons, who had come to take their bike which they had parked at a short distance away from the house of the victim. The villagers tied the duo to a tree and thrashed them mercilessly. On getting information, police rushed to the village and rescued the two persons.

The woman had got married just three months ago and was staying with her husband.
