Keonjhar, Apr 7: In another story of a raid by the state vigilance today, the Bargarh Divisional forest officer Solaram Marandi was detained by the officials. The incident occurred when Marandi was travelling from Keonjhar to Bhagbandh village, in a bus. The officials have seized over Rs 1 lakh from his possession and have detained him. On being questioned about the source of the money, Marandi was not able to answer the officials, said sources.
In the meanwhile, raids have been conducted at his office and residence at Bargarh and another residence at Bhubaneswar.
