Cuttack, Sept 5: After the Odisha Government decided, acting on it, Director General of Police (DGP), KB Singh passed an order to all the district police superintendents to withdraw cases filed against fake beneficiaries who had fraudulently obtained ration cards.
Around 6786 cases in different police stations have been asked to close by Sept 25. However he also added that police would take action against these beneficiaries after the expiry of deadline on September 30 after taking necessary approval from the concerned authorities.
