Dharmendra Pradhan seeks Odisha CM’s intervention
Writing a letter to Odisha CM, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, ‘I understand that these students have appeared for the final (6th) semester examination through online mode in 1st and 2nd Week of August, have not been provided their 6th semester marksheet and the results are expected to be declared later in the month of September 2021. Despite repeated pleas to colleges and State education authorities, these students have not been provided provisional marksheets.’
He added, ‘the late publication of provisional result/non-issuance of marksheet is causing great suffering and jeopardizing the career prospects of our students as they are required to submit their final marksheets or an attested provisional marksheet for seeking postgraduate (PG) admission in various State and Central universities outside Odisha’.
Dharmendra Pradhan has written in his letter, ‘ I am distressed to learn that many students have already missed the datelines of Central University of Mizoram and Bharathiar University, and are under severe stress due to fast-approaching deadlines for other universities such as Mumbai University, Kumaon University etc.’
He has urged the CM to issue the final mark sheets or even the attested provisional mark sheets of the sixth-semester UG students so that they can pursue PG courses in various State and central universities in India in time.
