Dhenkanal: Odisha Vigilance officials on Tuesday apprehended a RI and a Peon in Dhenakanal district for allegedly demanding and receiving bribe from a complainant.
The accused have been identified as Sadar RI Barun Nayak and Peon Balaram Jena. Acting on a tip off, Dhenkanal vigilance conducted a raid and caught Nayak and Jena red handed while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 30,000 from a complainant for land conversion.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized. Further investigation in this regard is underway.
