Kandhamal, Aug 27: The All India Congress committee (AICC) vice president, Rahul Gandhi will hold a meeting on the basis of the report submitted by the Central team, to discuss the Gumudumaha firing which took the life of five innocent tribals on July 8.
The discussion meeting will be held in New Delhi and Prasad Harichandan, president of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) and Narasingh Mishra, Leader of Opposition (LoP) will head to Delhi this afternoon to attend the meeting with Rahul Gandhi.
As per information, discussion about all party meet which was called by the LoP regarding Mahanadi issue will be held in the meeting. Also, the Forest Act and the Congress approach for the Mahanadi issue will be discussed.
According to party sources, Jairam Ramesh, Senior Party Leader is likely to be present with Harichandan and Mishra in the meeting.
