Bhubaneswar, April 7: The Khurda district administration Wednesday began eviction drive at the Trahi Achyuta ashram on the city outskirt constructed by Surendra Mishra on encroached government land.
The district administration pressed into action bulldozers to raze the unauthorized buildings, including hospital, post office, Dola Mandap and Pothi griha on over a acre land.
It also plans to reclaim a road constructed by the godman on government land and a 15-decimal piece of land, which was used as a dumping ground.
Balianta tehsildar was physically supervising the operation in the area where adequate police forces have been deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
