Bhubaneswar, Dec 5: Member of the School Teachers Federation of Odisha had a brawl with the police here at lower PMG square on Saturday.
The federation of teachersrallied to protest the lack in interest of the state government in not fulfilling their demands. The rally moved towards the state assembly but was soon stopped by the police, which resulted in a brawl between the police and the teachers.
The federation demanded implementations of 7th pay commission, equal work, equal pay, abolition of block grant provision, government status to fully aided schools and filling up of all vacant teachers’ posts.
