Bhubaneswar, April 11: Eminent writer Dr Natabara Satapathy has been chosen to receive the prestigious ‘Bishuba Samman for this year.
The Samman is awarded by the Prajatantra Samiti in Cuttack established by former Chief Minister and freedom fighter Dr Harekurshna Mahtab.
The cash award this year has been raised to Rs one lakh, the Samiti announced.
The honour will be given to Dr Satpathy at a special function to be organised in Cuttack on April 14 Bishuv Sankranti Day.
