The driver of a cash van of a nationalized bank fled with Rs.57 lakh in the Nuapada district of Odisha on Wednesday.
Police found the van abandoned in the forest area near with Khariar-Kantabanji road. But, the cash box was not there. Police are trying to nab the driver and for which it has formed two teams. Besides Police are interrogating the bank staff.
As said, cash was loaded in the van of the private cash-carrying company at the main SBI branch at Khariar for filling of ATMs. Further, the driver hijacked the vehicle and fled without taking the security guard and two bank employees.
