Balasore, June 7: In a breakthrough operation by the Balasore police led by Sahadevkhunta police station IIC Pragyan Mohanty, a major drug racket was busted, while the mastermind behind the racket has also been arrested.
After getting a tip off, the police raided the Arada Bazaar Masjid area in Balasore and thus arrested the mastermind identified as Sainara Bibi along with also seized about 1.2 kg brown sugar worth around Rs 1.2 crore from her possession.
As of sources, Bibi after getting the illegal powder from Kolkata had gone to her home at Arada Bazaar, from where she was arrested. In the meanwhile, a case has been registered against Bibi in the incident while the police are also on search of the other accused in the incident.
Notably, on May 28, another kg of brown sugar was also seized from the area with the arrest of a peddler after a team of excise intelligence raided the area.
