ECoR Job Fraud case: Main accused arrested from Jajpur today; to be forwarded to court today itself

Bhubaneswar, Dec 8: The Main accused involved in the East Coast Railway job fraud thus duping job seekers to the tune of Rs 2 crore, Biswanath Sahoo has been arrested from Jajpur by the Chandrasekharpur police today.

Sahoo will be forwaded to the court today and the cops are now hoping to crack the case soon. The Commissionerate Police may seek his remand to extract more information regarding the involvement of other people and the modus operandi of the whole operation. Earlier in connection to the ECoR job fraud scam, the police had nabbed 8 persons including Ollywood actor-producer Ashok Kumar Mallick who had promised the unemployed youths to provide them with jobs in the railways. On Sept 5, the cops had taken Kishore Chandra Behera into custody, an electrician, working in the Bansapani Division, from Jharkhand on the charge of defrauding Rs 22 lakh from five youths with a promise to provide them a job in the Railways.

Notably, the ECoR, suspecting a racket going on in providing fraudulent employment to rope in money, had requested the CBI to investigate the matter.
