Last night, Pinky Mohapatra and Monali, students of the CV Raman College of Engineering met with an accident as their auto in which they were travelling overtuned near Khandagiri. Monali sustained minor injuries but Pinky died. The auto-driver fled from the spot. Tension errupted at the hospital where Pinky was bought, as the deceased’s friends demanded the hospital staff to recheck Pinky even after she was already declared dead.

One of the friend stated that as Pinky was still breathing even after being declared dead, the hospital staff were requested to recheck her. In spite of her friends pleading the staff to shift Pinky to a private hospital, the hospital staff did not adhere to them. On being asked to show Pinky’s death report, the staff strictly told them to approach the Khandagiri police.

The Khandagiri police have seized the auto but the officials have not commented on the allegations rested by the students.
