Road Accident in Odisha Kills Older Couple and Son-in-Law

A car accident in Ganjam district this morning killed an engineering student from a college in Bhubaneswar, and five other people were seriously hurt.

Sources said, Sunday, six students of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) in Bhubaneswar, went on an excursion to the beach in Gopalpur, Ganjam district. This morning, on their way back to Bhubaneswar, their vehicle struck a road divider and collided with a truck near Agastinuagam Chhak within the Ganjam police jurisdiction.

One of the students, identified as Debraj, died at the scene of the tragedy, while the remaining five students sustained critical injuries. The injured students were sent to the Chatrapur Subdistrict Hospital (SDH).

Upon getting information about the event, Ganjam police launched an investigation.
