Cuttack, Dec 20: Kept in ventilator in a private hospital in Cuttack, the veteran Art Director Budha Moharana has been fighting for life after being attacked by brain stroke.

Sources said, high blood pressure led to the brain hemorrhage thus resulting into four blood clots in brain in May 2016. As the treatment requires more money, this problem is now hindering the treatment. Till now around Rs 8 lakh has already been spent for his treatment. Currently, on not being a bed available at the SCB Medical College and Hospital, Moharana has been hospitalized in Moon Hospital located in Mahanadi Vihar. Even though financial supports have been offered by State’s Tourism Department and a social organization, still the monetary phase has become a major tension in his treatment.

As the supervising doctor has advised that the patient must be under ventilator for a long time for recovery, which is expensive, the family of this eminent art director has made a request to the government to provide medical assistance to this veteran along with a ventilator facility in a government run hospital.
