Bhubaneswar, Apr 12: Today in the wee hours, a minor fire broke out on the fourth floor of the treasury office here. It is suspected that the fire happened due to a short circuit from air conditioner. The security officials saw the flames when smoke was emanating from the multi-storeyed building. They immediately switched off all the electric points and informed the fire fighters. A fire officer stated to media that the control room had received a call at around 8.45 am and immediately two fire tender units were rushed to the area but just one unit successfully doused off the flames as it was a low magnitude fire accident. The timely action of all officials did avert the big accident. Just two ACs, some chairs and some other documents have been destroyed.
