Puri, Nov 5: Today, the officials of Puri Forest Division recovered a carcass of a four-feet-long bottlenose dolphin from Puri sea beach.
As per reports, the carcass was spotted by the locals when it was floating near Digabareni Ghat, following which they informed the Forest Department personnel.
Later, the Puri Forest Division officials reached the spot and recovered the carcass from the sea beach and later sent it for autopsy.
As per suspicions, the dolphin died after getting hit by a trawler. However, the exact reason behind the animal’s death can be ascertained after post-mortem, informed Forest Department officials.
