Nuapada, Dec 6: In a tragic incident, Lalit Mohan Gandhi, former Odisha minister died today while undergoing treatment. The incident happened at Khariar railway station, Nuapda.
As per sources, he was on his way to Titlagarh from Raipur by the Puri-Durga Intercity Express. He climbed down from the train for some work at Khariar station. But while trying to board the train back, the train started to move and unfortunately he fell down and lost his leg as it came under the train. He was immediately admitted to the Nuapada district headquarters hospital where while undergoing treatment he died.
Gandhi was a holder of an important place in State government’s Information and Public Relations and Youth Affairs, in 1997 and in 1980 he had been elected to the Assembly.
