Bhubaneswar: The commissionerate police have arrested four people yesterday, allegedly involved in many instances of theft and recovered gold jewellery and motorcycles from their possession.
Acting on a tip off, a special squad of the Commissionerate Police conducted a raid and nabbed the looters. The cops later seized 12 stolen gold chains weighing 80 grams and three motorcycles from their possession, after four of them failed to produce the documents of the concern property. The seized gold is estimated to be worth around Rs 4 lakh.
Police sources said the four accused used to loot valuables at different places in the streets of Bhubaneswar.
