Khurda, Feb 28: the body of a 17-year old girl was recovered from near the rail tracks near Kuhudi station on Saturday.
The victim, identified as Saswati Priyadarshini of Sananairia village near Chilika, was an intermediate student of Ravenshaw junior college in Cuttack.
Saswati left her home to board a train for Cuttack at Balugaon station yesterday. She remained untraceable since leaving home and her mobile was switched off.
Locals found her body and informed the police who sent it for post mortem.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased alleged that she had been murdered.
