Puri based charitable trust takes up ‘Education for all’ cause

Puri, Feb 28: Sri Raghunath Charitable Trust here has taken up yet another step to provide education at Upper Primary and secondary school level as part of its “Education for All “ programme.

The Trust which came into existence in 2008 began its activities in health and education sector after getting registered with the Indian Charitable Trust Act 1861, Managing Trustee Shiva Shankar Sahoo said recently.

He said the Trust has opened educational institution both at elementary and secondary stage by opening Annapurna Upper Primary Schools and Annapurna Bana Bidyalaya at secondary stage.

Sahoo said, the Sri Raghunath Charitable Hospital, An ISO 9001-2008 certified Hospital came into existence in 2010 and has been catering to the health care needs of about 50 patients daily.

It also has set up a pathology unit in the hospital he said adding as many as nine highly qualified medical experts in different sectors such as General Surgery , Medicine, O &G, Dental, Cardiology and Ayush are working in the Hospital.

The hospital has special provisions for the BPL card holders and their family members as per the RSBY &BKKY schemes, he said.

Sahu boasted of setting up high value ultramodern telemedicine healthcare Services based up on modern science and technology by availing super specialist medication at door step in 2012.

The Managing Trustee said the Trust provides certain facilities under National E-Governance Scheme of SAHAJ to the people in rural areas in fields of Insurance, electricity, land records, residential and Income certificates and Phone bills.

It is also organizing ASHA training Programme in Module 6 & 7 under supervision of the CDMO Puri and as many as 448 ASHA workers of different blocks of Puri district participated in the programme.
