Gumudumaha firing case: witnesses record statements at district court in Phulbani, Odisha

Phulbani, Apr 6: In connection to the Gumudumaha firing incident, the deposition of witnesses and recording their statements began yesterday at the Phulbani District Court premises. The witnesses presented their statements before the Justice Janab Mohammed Ajmal Commission of Inquiry. Investigating officer and Phulbani SDPO Prabhat Chandra Panigrahi and SOG Sergeant Nilakantha Kanhar, gave their statements before Justice Ajmal who is the head of the committee that is investigating the Gumudumaha firing. A total of 16 affidavits have been filed before the Commission so far. It may be noted that a firing took place by security personnel suspecting the victims to be ultras that took lives of five innocent tribal and left seven others injured.
