Hailstorms in Coastal Odisha on Sunday; MeT Office

Bhubaneswar, Apr 8: Weather has been dry over Odisha. Maximum temperatures observed no large change over Odisha. They were appreciably above normal over South Interior Odisha, above normal over North Interior Odisha and normal over Coastal Odisha.

Having partly cloudy sky, Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours a maximum and minimum temperature of 36 degree Celsius and 26 degree Celsius respectively on Sunday.

The relative humidity will be 92 percent at its maximum and 55 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. On Sunday and Monday, rainfall along with thunder squall and hail storms to occur at one or two places of Coastal Odisha with wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph and a heat wave condition in one or two places in Interior Odisha. On other days, weather most likely to be dry in Odisha. As per the weather forecasters, there will be an increase in day temperature over Interior Odisha from Apr 13.

For the farmers, rainfall along with thunder squall and hail storms to occur at one or two places of Coastal Odisha with wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph and a heat wave condition in one or two places in Interior Odisha.

The highest maximum temperature of 43.8C was recorded at Bolangir and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.50C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
