Bhubaneswar, Sep 5: According to the Indian Meteorological Department, in the next 24 hours, a low pressure area formed above the West Bengal Ganges and north-west Bay of Bengal is likely to shoot heavy rainfall at many places in Odisha.
On the basis of the forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of north Odisha and heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of south Odisha.
The showers would continue till September 8, it added and thus Fishermen have been advised not to venture into sea.
