Highest single-day spike of 19,906 COVID-19 cases in India; Total tally reaches 5,28,859

Bhubaneswar: June 28: India has registered 19,906 fresh COVID-19 cases. With this the overall tally increased to 5,28,859. Out of the total tally, 2,03,051 cases are active and on the other side, 3,09,712 patients have recovered from the disease. The death toll rose by 410 to 16,095.

The interesting part is, the difference between recoveries and active cases now stands at 1,06 lakh.

The recovery rate has improved further to 58.56% amongst COVID-19 patients.

Among States, Maharashtra has 1,59,133 cases with 5,318 fresh cases during last 24 hours. Also, the Maharashtra death toll increased to 7,273 with 167 new fatalities.

Coronavirus cases in Delhi rose to 80,188, followed by Tamilnadu (78,335) and Gujarat (30,709), Uttar Pradesh (21,549), Rajastan (16,944), West Bengal (16,711), Telangana (13,436), Haryana (13,427),Madhya Pradesh (12,965), Andhra Pradesh (12,285) and  Karnataka (11,923).
