Cuttack, Feb 21: The state vigilance directorate will today take IAS Partha Sarathi on a 2-day remand for the interrogation regarding Disproportionate Assets (DA) allegations against him.
Earlier yesterday, a Special Vigilance court in Cuttack granted the permission to take IAS Mishra on remand for 2 days for interrogation. It has also asked Mishra’s counsel to be present during the course of the enquiry.
To be noted, Partha Sarathi was earlier arrested by the anti corruption wing of vigilance on Friday for having disproportionate assets to his name of over Rs 5 crore. Raids were conducted at his office and residence including the ones at Puri, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. A cash of about Rs 2.1 lakh was also seized from his car, said sources.
