IFFI provides an opportunity for film experts to share behind the screen experiences: Col. Rathore

Goa, Nov 28: Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting has said that International Film Festival of India provided a unique platform for experts from across the globe to share their behind the screen experiences and stories. He said that both the Centre & State Government were committed and working together to make improvements in the IFFI and provide a rich experience for all the delegates and film fraternity. The Minister said this while interacting with the media today at 47th International Film Festival of India at Goa.

The Minister also visited the Multimedia Exhibition setup by National Film Archive of India at the 47th IFFI, Goa.  The Exhibition was centred on the theme of ‘Aazadi 70 Saal, YaadKaro Kurbani’ to commemorate 70 years of India’s Independence and its depiction through films. Col. Rathore said that Films were an effective tool as a medium of communication and appreciated the efforts of NFAI in depicting the struggle of freedom fighters through this exhibition on cinema. He also experienced the Exhibition on Virtual Reality which was one of its own kind technological innovation of VR wherein people can visit NFAI premises and the exhibition through a VR gear.

Speaking to the media on the issue of demonetisation scheme of the Government, Col. Rathore said that this initiative of the Government would bring transparency in the film industry and would curb the use of black money in the film sector.
