Bhubaneswar, May 22: Today the head of the e-admission department for the junior colleges in Odisha, Mihir Das clarified that the income certificate is not mandatory for the submission of the common application form (CAF). Students do not require to submit the aforementioned certificate take part in the admission process. The registration for Plus II admissions began today in the state but some college authorities allegedly refused to accept the forms of those applicants who did not submit their income certificates. Das stated that students who do not want to submit the income certificate may select the ‘Others’ option in the CAF. But submission of the income certificate will help a student to avail the e-scholarship scheme. And if the applicant wants so, he or she can collect the income certificate from the revenue office within 15 days after submission of CAF if she or he fails to submit it at the time of submitting the application form.
