Mumbai, Dec 9: Jos Buttler 76 of 137 deliveries help England reach dot 400.

After finishing at 288 for 5 on the day 1 of the 4th test with India, the England team has managed to reach 400. Though they went all out but gave a good target for India to lead.

The day started good for India as the early wickets encouraged the team, when Stoke went up the gallery for 31 after Skipper Kohli caught him at the slip. Stokes wicket was appealed for LBW and caught & out both, but the umpire’s decision was no for either, and then was when Kohli appealed for the review and Stokes moved up. Soon later Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid and Jake Ball went up while Buttler was hit in the leg stick byt Sir Jadeja.

Indian Spinner’s extensive innings giving 6 wickets to Ashwin and 4 to Jadeja, led to the downfall of the British Empire at 400.

India’s Batting Innings after lunch started well enough with Lokesh and Vijay initiating it. While Lokesh was drop bowled by Mo Ali at 24 runs, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara’s steady play partnership showed a way and rained runs for India. Murali’s 70 of 169 and Pujara’s 47 of 102 help India reach 146 for 1 in 52 overs, at Stumps, on day 2 of the match.

India still trail by 256 runs, while Pujara and Vijay will resume the game from tomorrow.
